2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Come down and support
Richard and CTVers Kris Abel and Bill Hutcheson! Here’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of women, babies and
their families in a ‘friendly’ battle of the media. Read more about it here in Kris Abel's blog.
Sunnybrook
Foundation and the Canadian Hadassah-WIZO have joined forces to produce
Funday Sunday: Toronto’s family fest; a city-wide, family friendly
event, to be held November 28, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention
Centre (MTCC).
This isn’t your typical family event. Many of
Toronto’s citizens (movers-and-shakers, community members,
Torontonians), musicians and local personalities will be competing in a
challenge - a Rock Band challenge. Each band will compete live on stage
at the MTCC, and one band from each age group will be crowned as
Toronto’s Ultimate Rock Band champion.
To kick off this event
and raise awareness for the Rock Band challenge, we are inviting
Toronto’s media elite to step up, form their own Rock Band team and
show Toronto how much they rock.
Richard and CTV colleagues
Kris Abel, Bill Hutchison and Michelle Dube performed live on
Tuesday, April 27 at the Toronto Eaton’s Centre in front of hundreds of
pedestrians, media and more.
Toronto’s top media Rock
Band will be automatically entered into the city wide competition on
November 28, with a guaranteed performance on the main stage.
